    tasha,

i was thinking either 20 or 25. not sure how big i want it yet, but definately will be a lap quilt. and then, on a couple of the blocks when i was squareing them off, the white sashing ended up a bit smaller than i wanted. i'm not sure if i'll add more sashing???

  8. nettie,

i ordered some white kona cotton at joanns.com. i was able to use the 40% off coupon and the shipping was only $2.95. not sure if i could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else. maybe i should have waited for a 50% off coupon but i needed it now and i'm going through it like crazy. :)

That's why I think i make them so big.:) Have a great day, Heather

Kerri, what a cute quilt! could you tell me what size your strips are? and what size is the middle block? what size will the block be when complete? So darn cute!!!
    P.S. I love your music :)

  14. debbie,

i cut the strips 1 1/2 inches wide and they vary in length. however long the fabric was and then i just trim as i go. the middle block is 2 1/2 inch square. i add a bit of wonkiness to them too, and with the white sashing they end up being 9 1/2 inch sqaure. i wish though, i would have made the white sashing a bit wider so they would have ended up being 10 inch square.

thanks so much for your compliments!! :)
